The four-day Certificate 2 in Wine + Beverages qualification is intended for industry professionals, hospitality staff, or even keen connoisseurs with a basic knowledge of the broad range of alcoholic beverages who wish to enhance their wines and spirits quotient in a structured manner. For enthusiasts, this is where your love for the beverage deepens, and you move from a drinker to a connoisseur. Extensive study of various wine styles, production methods, labels, regions, countries, appellations, service, and schematic tasting and analysis are the key components of the program.
We expect the attendee to have a prior formal education or experience with the beverages before coming to the program. We highly recommend a one-month prior self-study of the study material for the course. The aim here is to develop a self-sufficiency in selecting, decoding, and communicating a beverage to a guest, followed by its service, tasting, and commenting with a certain level of practised ease, flair and confidence. We aim to instil in you a sense of the art of sommellerie at this level, which then grows hereon.

The Certificate 2 in Wines + Beverages is assessed by means of a 50 multiple-choice questions’ exam to be completed in 60 minutes. Candidates are required to get a minimum of 35 correct answers to graduate the program.
Select the city of your choice and the session dates, fill in your information and submit the same to us. We will reserve a spot for you at the selected batch. Once the payment is made you will be registered for the program and will soon receive a confirmation email with joining details.
You can still register and we will put your on the waitlist. In case you still do not get a space on the said session, you will automatically be considered for the next session on first-come basis. You will not be booked but we will present you with the first right to refusal.
For Certificate 2, we highly recommend some prior self study is highly recommended. We suggest you to register as early as possible and be in possession of your study material in order to get on to some self-study before coming to the sessions. Yes, please carry your own stationary and a Government photographic ID proof for the examination. In case you’re a foreign national, kindly carry an equivalent ID proof, or your passport.
In order to cancel your booking write to us at email@example.com along with a cancellation and refund request. Should the request reach us 15 days prior to the course’s starting date, no cancellation charge will be levied. However, a cancellation charge of INR15000 will be levied, in case the the request is made less than 15 days before the course starting date. No refunds will be made in case the request is received 7 days before the beginning of the program. In case of cancellation of the course by IWBS full fee will be refunded.
Refunds are made via credit vouchers only
The next natural progression is to study the Certificate 3 in Wines + Beverages. Since it only takes place periodically, to stay in touch with studies, you can also do the Certificate 1 & 2 courses in Beers and Spirits. Preparing for Certificate 3 is in itself a rigorous task. We suggest approximately 3-4 months of prior study before coming to the sessions as here the classroom teaching is minimal.
